Following the Followers

Humans have taken many wrong turns, yet still it seems no one ever really learns/ Continually making the same mistakes, Unwilling to slow down or hit the brakes/  Constantly ruining gifts we been given, Destroying the car as it’s being driven/  Unable to open just one of our eyes, Blinded with hidden agendas and lies/  We seem to be happy not knowing the truth, never even asking to see any proof/ Faithfully following our followers, Until the unthinkable finally occurs
